The NMS represents the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) in Norway and follows OIML standards and procedures.

These tests are performed in accordance with the specifications of the National Conference of Weights and Measures Publication 14 [38], and a similar international standard, OIML R60 [39], adopted by the International Organization of Legal Metrology.
