OMEP is part of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, a national network of not-for-profit centers organized in 1986 by the National Institute for Standards and Technology. 9 million for MEP, a move that assured small manufacturers in Oregon would continue to have access to the technical assistance and business support services of OMEP through February 2004. OMEP has worked directly with 500 small and mid-sized Oregon manufacturers to help them adopt new technologies and modern business practices, grow their companies and provide family wage jobs for Oregon workers. |
