General Pat Rea, formerly of the US Army, and Grand Commander of the OSMTH -its Latin acronym - presented him with the award for his work in Iraq, saying it involved "extraordinary heroism beyond the call of duty involving personal hazard and danger and voluntary risk of his own life". Founded in August 1995 by several members of a self-styled US Priory of the Knights of Malta and OSMTH TEMPLAR Knights for the specific purpose of providing an independent vehicle through which focused international and domestic humanitarian assistance and medical relief programs could be organized. |
