The Onondaga County Water Authority is a public benefit corporation created in 1951 (and began operating in 1955) in accordance with the Public Authorities Law of the State of New York.
The Onondaga County Water Authority (OCWA) is among the largest public water suppliers in the United States, providing quality drinking water to nearly 340,000 consumers in four counties of Central New York: Onondaga, Oswego, Madison, and Oneida.
