In the past, grandparents have not been considered "family members" for the purpose of either the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act or the Oregon Family Leave Act. It is true that both the Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA) and the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) require employers to allow employees time off for pregnancy disability leave. But this law was repealed when the Oregon Family Leave Act was enacted in 1995. |
