For performance management to be relevant to the management and development of quality in the 21st century, the spotlight will need to fall on the manner in which organisational units are managed and led, and on the nurturing of teams, rather than the management of individual performance. Strategic planning processes should build upon the personal visions of institutional staff; program, course and organisational unit review processes should encourage, reward, and act upon genuine critical assessment of existing work practices; remuneration packages and research grant programs should genuinely encourage and reward team-based approaches to work. The sales companies in the three countries: Norway, Finland and Germany will be merged into one organisational unit - Lindex International. |
