An announcement here on Friday said that he was elected in the first meeting of newly elected 7th Central Executive Board held in PLGMEA Office Sialkot.
He further stated that PLGMEA has brought this to the notice of the Commerce Ministry and the Textile Ministry that there is no difference between leather garments and textile garments other than the type of raw material used which is leather and textile.
The PLGMEA chief stated that the important positive aspect of the trade policy is that it is for three years and not one year.
In a statement here on Tuesday, the PLGMEA also called for revision in the duty drawback rate on export of leather garments and leather goods in consultation with the PLGMEA.
