TOSC was measured in samples homogenized as described above for the enzymatic antioxidants, without adding PMSF to the buffer. We used PMSF to inhibit degradation of VTG in the white perch plasma samples. The lysis buffer consisted of 50 mM HEPES, 150 mM NaCl, 1% Triton X-100, 1 mM PMSF, and 20 [micro] g/mL aprotinin, leupeptin, and pepstatin. |
