PSES are designed to prevent the discharge of pollutants that pass through, interfere with, or otherwise are incompatible with the operation of POTWs.
The PSES consists of two subscales: (1) Perceived Physical Ability (PPA), consisting of items such as reflexes, agility, muscle tone, and sports ability, and (2) Perceived Self-Presentation Confidence (PSPC), focusing on various aspects of personal appearance (such as a person's voice, laugh, posture, and body image).
