Littte new information can be found in the first half of Liv Bliksrud's critical overview of how the so-called "Norske Selskab," a group of Norwegian writers in Copenhagen of the 1770s, has "forvaltet arven fra Holberg" (73) [handled the estate of Holberg], whereas her exciting thesis that Holberg's comic epic Peder Paars possibly served as a model for Johan Herman Wessel's comedy Kierlighed uden Stramper [Love without Stockings] indeed throws new light on both works in question. Extracts from Peder Paars in "Holberg's Peter Paars," Dublin University Magazine (August). |
