Introduction of VSP4 Card -- Nortel is introducing fourth generation VSP technology, the VSP4 card, built on Nortel's extensive experience with packet voice gateway technology since shipments of VSP1 began in 1999.
Sonus Networks (Nasdaq: SONS), a leading supplier of service provider voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructure solutions, today announced that Infonetics Research has named Sonus the leader in the total media gateway market and total packet voice gateway market for 2004.
Infonetics Research recently reported that the carrier VoIP equipment market grew approximately 69 percent in 2004, with Sonus as the global leader in the packet voice gateway revenue for the third quarter of 2004, as well as for the year to date.
