Handelman, a fellow in peace and conflict resolution research at the University of Missouri, proposes that the phenomenon of manipulation can be used as a constructive tool, and outlines manipulative strategies used in politics, leadership, advertising, psychotherapy, and intimate relationships.
Launched in 2002, the seven Rotary Centres for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution offer two-year, master's degree-level curricula aimed at helping the next generation of government officials, diplomats, and leaders develop the skills to reduce the threat of war and violence.
