Intel has renamed its high-end chip, preliminarily named Williamette, as Pentium 4, which will be the successor to Intel's Pentium III microprocessor. After the controversy surrounding flaws in its Pentium microprocessor, Intel made adjustments and boosted its revenues by 31% last year. Dell (Nasdaq:DELL) today began offering new Pentium 4 processors to performance-minded customers on select Dimension(tm) desktops and Dell(tm) Precision workstations. |
