announced a strategic agreement to offer "ConciergeCard" - a new personal identification system enabling airports and airlines to dramatically improve the travel experience for international and domestic air travelers throughout the world. The settlement will resolve a suit filed in San Diego County Superior Court, in which plaintiff claims that the Plaintiff and a class of similarly situated consumers were requested and/or required by LPI to provide personal identification information in connection with a credit card transaction in violation of California Civil Code Section 1747. Shilkret noted, however, that some banks, such as Wells Fargo, will generate a personal identification number for customers and integrate it into the bank's identity check upon request. |
