Recently, for example, the German agrochemical firm AgrEvo, the maker of "Liberty" herbicide, bought a Dutch biotech company called Plant Genetic Systems (PGS), which owned numerous wheat and corn patents.
Dan has founded and managed three prominent biotech companies with a combined market value of over $10 billion -- Biogen, Advanced Genetic Sciences (one of the first plant biotech companies) and Plant Genetic Systems (one of Europe's first agricultural biotech companies) - and currently is President and CEO of Protein Sciences Corporation.
NetGenics' growing customer base includes Plant Genetic Systems, Gent, Belgium (NetGenics' first agriscience customer); Pfizer, Groton, CT; Abbott Laboratories, Chicago, IL; and Wyeth Ayerst Research, Radnor, PA.
