The company has developed the first plug-in hybrid vehicle that has been certified for use on public roads in Japan.
Tokyo, Japan, July 25, 2007 - (JCN Newswire) - TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announced today that it has developed a plug-in hybrid vehicle and become the first manufacturer to have such a vehicle certified for use on public roads in Japan.
At the Los Angeles Auto Show late last year, GM Chairman and CEO Rick Wagoner announced that the company had "begun work on a Saturn Vue plug-in hybrid vehicle.
