John Heisler, Notre Dame's senior associate athletic director, said Saturday he became aware of possible violations when contacted Friday by The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne, Ind. In particular, he began by looking for a possible violation of the Intelligence Identities Protection Act, which makes it illegal for people with access to intelligence to knowingly reveal the name of a covert CIA officer.
