Staff must comply with post-void residual (PVR) testing to determine the presence of incomplete bladder emptying. The two studies were correlated statistically; 66 patients had voiding phase analysis, recording individual voiding parameters: Max detrusor pressure (Pdet), voiding time (VT), Max uroflow (Qmax), Post-void residual (PVR), and abdominal straining. If so, the patient should be asked to void followed by a bladder scan or urethral catheterization to assess post-void residual (PVR). |
