BAGHDAD, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi Vice President Tarqiq Al-Hashimi threatened to use his constitutional power of veto in case the Iraqi parliament did not vote to increase the number of its members to 311, from the current 275.
Mending fences' Rob Reynolds, Al Jazeera's senior Washington correspondent, said Nato members must have reached an agreement with Turkey, which had the power of veto to block the move, to enable Rasmussen to take the post.
The original 2006 Act gave no power of veto to the Secretary of State.
