Only one-third of teachers under 29 years old felt the pre-service training they received in college prepared them well for classroom technology use. Although case management is an important part of the pre-service training of both rehabilitation counselors and rehabilitation teachers, orientation to and familiarization with an agency's unique procedures, policies, and forms is always necessary for the smooth integration of the new hire into an agency's culture. And, the four in 10 (42 percent) who give it a C, D or F is substantially larger than those teachers similarly dissatisfied with pre-service training in English and math (28 percent and 23 percent, respectively). |
