Companies are turning to more-sophisticated kinds of product placement on television because they're worried that viewers are no longer paying attention to their ads--especially with the proliferation of devices like TiVo, which let viewers fast-forward through commercials. But it was not a product placement, said an HRC spokesperson, who was pleasantly surprised to hear about the cap. An article in Best's Review ("The Place to Be," February 2005) on product placement caught my attention because I am an avid television viewer. |
