Lyondell Chemical Company, Houston, TX, has announced plans to increase its annual propylene glycol ether (PGE) capacity by 50,000 metric tons by the beginning of the year 2007. Propylene glycol ethers are solvents used in products such as water-based paints, inks, coatings and adhesives. nbsp;(PG), butanediol (BDO) and propylene glycol ether (PGE); and styrene monomer and MTBE as co-products of PO production. |
