While we continued to experience increased bad debts for the fiscal year, the provision for bad debts as a percentage of revenues decreased in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2007 from the third fiscal quarter due to our continued focus on mitigating the consistent rise in bad debts we, like the rest of our industry, have been facing. Before giving effect to the increase in the provision for bad debts discussed above, income from continuing operations increased 11. Higher costs of salaries, wages and benefits and provision for bad debts in the current year's quarter also contributed to the lower operating profit. |
