The Certificate of Jewish Divorce is conditional upon compliance by both parties to the Psak [or decision] of the Bais Din. In the sicha of Parsiws Mishpatim [Exodus 21-4], 5752, the Rebbe says, "This is the psak din [ruling] of the Rabbanim [rabbis] and teachers of Yisroel [Israel] that the time of redemption has arrived, 'a king has arrived from the house of David etc. But in non-halakhic areas their rulings are to be weighed carefully, and not to be treated as binding psak (decisions). |
