In 1999, RRCOF commissioned Social Movements and Grassroots Organizing: Lessons for Reproductive Rights and Health Organizations, a study that looked at the civil rights movement, women's movement, environmental justice movement, and the conservative right to determine the factors necessary to build a successful community-centered movement.
RRCOF now complements its work with state reproductive rights coalitions by supporting other community-based mobilizing structures that link their grassroots organizing to policy or institutional change.
