I can just imagine the audience roaring with laughter as the specialist subjects range from pigeon-clocks to the price of Greggs pasties.
The acclaimed American author best known for his Tales Of The City series of novels had us roaring with laughter as he recalled his life and read the first chapter of his new book Michael Tolliver Lives.
And he seemed to be getting quite jolly during their gettogether - throwing back his head and roaring with laughter during their chat.
