Abstract: A 31-year-old nulliparous woman presented in labor with preterm rupture of membranes at 35 weeks of gestation. In cases of early-onset disease, the following data were abstracted from the medical records: prenatal GBS screening, intrapartum fever >38[degrees]C, prolonged rupture of membranes [greater than or equal to] 18 h before delivery, preterm delivery at <37 weeks of gestation, receipt of intrapartum antibiotics, and outcome of illness.
