High court orders release of alleged attackers in Chiapas massacre The decision by a five-member panel of the SCJN to order freedom for 29 men accused of the killings in Acteal in December 2007 elicited mixed reactions.
The SCJN decision, handed down in mid-October, does not mandate Ruiz's removal from his post.
