agencies including the EPA and the CDC along with Mexico's SEMARNAP (Secretaria de Medio Ambiente, Recursos Naturales y Pesca, the Mexican equivalent of the EPA), has three major components: development of a database of pesticide use in the border region, followed by pilot studies to develop methods and data to document exposures in children ages one through five, and finally, a determination of the extent of exposures and associated risks to health in this population.
