[] Dividends: Rate on direct investment dividends remains 5%; however, such rate will now be available when the beneficial owner is a company that owns 10% of the voting stock of the company paying the dividend and the payer is not a RIC, REIT or French SICAV. Opened two new SICAV (Societes d'Investissement a Capital Variable) funds: an Asian flex cap fund and an absolute return (Euro) fund, and also launched a Korea-domiciled global bond fund. Additionally, FTIF Templeton Global Bond Fund, a Luxembourg-registered SICAV, received a Lipper "Best Fund" award in the Bonds Global category for three- and five-year performance, and ranked #1 for 5-year performance in the Fixed Income Global USD based category in Standard & Poor's Global Investment Fund Sector awards. |
