Originated in 1993, the Shanghai International Film Festival has consolidated on its own developing strategy, focusing on a clear and integral structure of the four major sections - Film Competitions, SIFF Market, Film Forum and International Panorama.
The SIFF equipment consists of an "interrogator" which sends a coded radar signal to unidentified targets, and a "transponder" which responds automatically with a coded reply.
Along with finding and sharing movie show times, locations, and film descriptions, SIFF attendees will be able to invite friends to attend a particular show, search for places to go for drinks or dinner before or after a show and then schedule a rendezvous at the chosen restaurant, bar or other fun local destination.
