Four years ago, the UO School of Journalism and Communications - SOJC
- sought to define itself as a "destination" school for journalism students nationally, said Tim Gleason, dean at the time.
During his time as dean of the SOJC
he also worked as the director of the Oregon Newspapers Publishers Association from 1989 to 1990 and director of the Oregon Association of Broadcasters from 1991 to 1993.
