STAR TAP and StarLight are made possible by major funding from the U.
Teleglobe was a participant in the early experiments involving the United States, Canadian and European research and education networks that led to the creation of STAR TAP with the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The distributed 6TAP is operated by the Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) in Palo Alto and New York, and jointly with CANARIE in Chicago at the STAR TAP.
