SDR, as adopted by the Software Defined Radio Forum, is a term used to describe radios that "provide software control of a variety of modulation techniques, wide-band or narrow-band operation, communications security functions (such as hopping), and waveform requirements of current and evolving standards over a broad frequency range".
Jerry, along with Dominick, helped lead the adoption of the SCA in the Software Defined Radio Forum and the formation of the Object Management Group(TM)'s (OMG(TM)) Software Radio Domain Special Interest Group, which is now the OMG Software Based Communication (SBC) Domain Task Force (DTF) that Jerry is a co-chair of.
Dom actively continues to support the commercial standardization of SDR technologies via groups such as the OMG and the Software Defined Radio Forum (
