The 22-foot-long X-40A was built by Boeing for the Air Force's Space Maneuver Vehicle program, an effort to build a spacecraft that could serve as a reusable satellite and that could perform reconnaissance missions.
The X-40A was originally developed by Boeing for the Air Force's space maneuver vehicle program.
