Data from the National Survey of Children with Special Health Care needs was used to estimate the prevalence of underinsurance, both at the national and state level.
An extended series of studies have found that in most dental auxiliary programs students received limited if any classroom and/or clinical opportunities to develop the background and experience to provide services for individuals with special health care needs.
The work of the project gave center staff an opportunity to work with parents of children with special health care needs and a remarkable group of dedicated librarians working in community-based libraries in Washington State.
