Many agencies currently using warranty specifications already require some minimal testing to establish whether the contractor has achieved the specified quality levels on key characteristics, such as thickness or strength, and therefore can be relieved of the responsibility for certain corrective or remedial actions that may be necessary later. Most institutions advertise their merit programs; however, in many instances the eligibility criteria either aren't specified or are stated as making a candidate "eligible for consideration," thus stopping short of guaranteeing an award at the specified quality level. Maintain control over product and manufacturing at specified quality levels. |
