VPN-1 UTM Edge is a unified threat management appliance that integrates the market-leading stateful inspection firewall, industrial strength intrusion prevention, gateway antivirus, and IPSec VPN into a single, easy-to-deploy solution. These UTM features include a stateful inspection firewall to perform access control and stop network-level attacks, an IPS (Deep Inspection firewall) to stop application-level attacks, optional best-in-class Antivirus features (including protection against phishing, spyware, adware, viruses and trojans), Denial of Service (DoS) mitigation capabilities and a Web Filtering option to block access to known malicious download sites or other inappropriate Web content. At its headquarters and each of its six branch sites, DIV uses the Unified Threat Management (UTM) security features of the NetScreen-5GT firewall, which includes stateful inspection firewall, IDP, Antivirus (Anti-Spyware, Anti-Phishing, Anti-Adware), Anti-Spam, and Web Filtering functions to protect DIV's network from external attacks. |
