These long-time problems with conservative student bodies have intensified ferociously in the past decade, largely through the organizational campaigns of groups like the College Republicans, Young America's Foundation, Young Americans for Freedom, and David Horowitz's Students for Academic Freedom. On the right, conservative activist David Horowitz, founder of Students for Academic Freedom, has fashioned an "academic bill of rights" that is being considered in several states ostensibly as a means of protecting "conservative" students from alleged indoctrination by the purportedly "liberal" views of faculty. Reynolds told University Business that although the student did rite a complaint against her professor, she did not receive a failing grade on the exam, and the question was not represented accurately on the Students For Academic Freedom (SAF) website. |
