This paper discusses key service and support issues faced by families who have experienced a sudden unexplained death of an infant (SUDI), the majority of which are from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), within an environment of increasing social inequality and poor service coordination. Stent thrombosis was defined according to the Academic Research Consortium (ARC) definitions for thrombosis: definite, which required confirmation of a clot by angiogram at follow-up; probable, which included a heart attack in the treated vessel in patients who did not have an angiographic confirmation of a thrombosis; and possible, which included sudden unexplained death. director of the Pacific Rim Electrophysiology Research Institute and director of electrophysiology at the Tommy Lasorda Heart Institute, Inglewood, CA, studied Thai men who were at high risk of a hereditary condition called Sudden Unexplained Death Syndrome (SUDS). |
