Tokyo, Japan, June 2, 2006 - (JCN Newswire) - TDK Corporation (TSE: 6762; NYSE: TDK) announced today that its HDD head manufacturing subsidiaries' factory located in the Conrad Hi-Tech Park of Changan Town, Dongguan City in Guangdong Province, China, completed a solar power generation system and began operations on June 2.
Bruce Youmans, TDK Vice President of Product Research & Development, said: "The ultra-ambitious technology roadmap for Blu-ray has now been confirmed as realistic, with landmarks such as this proving the long term value of the format against its rivals.
TDK is offering DVD and CD media in Snap N' Save cases in a variety of colors and pack sizes.
