The philosophy of Division TEACCH, derived by Eric Schopler is briefly reviewed and applied to adults with autism. More than 500 families with autistic children have entered Division TEACCH since its founding in 1966. In 1972, North Carolina legislators established TEACCH as the permanent state agency mandated to serve children with autism and their families. |
