The Possehl Group is acquiring the rubber and plastics division of Italy's Pomini, owned by the Argentinian steel group Techint. It is very likely in the near future we will have to face a serious problem of oversupply," Paolo Rocca, the president of Italian-Argentine steel giant Techint Group, told a conference of the International Iron and Steel Institute trade group in Buenos Aires this month. Techint, Tenaris' controlling shareholder, owns a 60% stake in the company and operates worldwide in the steel, energy, engineering and construction sectors. |
