Philips LCD (NYSE:LPL)(KRX:034220), a leading innovator of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) technology, announced today that it has decided to increase the design capacity of its 7th generation TFT-LCD plant (P7) located in Paju, Korea, from 90,000 to 110,000 input sheets of glass substrate per month.
Products showcased will include a full line-up of full high definition (Full HD) (1920 x 1080, two megapixels) TFT-LCD panels for HDTVs, as well as a fleet of small and medium display solutions featuring the latest next-generation technologies such as low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS).
