To help UTMB scientists accelerate future studies and restore their competitiveness, TIGM has created a grant-in-aid program specifically for UTMB faculty.
TIGM will receive $750,000 over three years in collaboration with the University of Houston and Indiana University through a new entity called the Texas-Indiana Virtual STAR (TIVS) Center.
As a result, TIGM recently submitted 276,372 nucleotide sequence tags generated from its world's largest gene trap library of C57BL/6 mouse embryonic stem cells, to the Genome Survey Sequences division of the GenBank([R]) database.
