The Q7's VTC750 transfer case contains a Torsen self-locking center differential that sends power aft down the driveshaft and forward-via chain from the differential's sun gear to the front driveshaft, and on to the front wheels. TMW") headquartered in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Bosch Automotive Systems Corporation ("RBAJ") on the transfer of RBAJ's Torsen business on 31 August upon which TMW will assume full management control of the Torsen business. A gearset reminiscent of the Torsen differential (invented by Gleasman and his father, Vernon), connects the pump and motor, and sends power to the driveshaft. |
