A major advantage of using a TPB framework is that it enables differences in beliefs between high and low level behavioural performers to be compared, which allows a rich understanding of fundamental behavioural influences to be gained.
The TPB posits that a person's behavior is a function of his or her intentions to perform a particular action (Ajzen, 2001; Ajzen, 1988).
The second component of the TPB states that the perceived control is determined by control beliefs concerning the presence or absence of resources for behavioral performance and the perceived power or the impact that each resource may have to facilitate or inhibit the behavior (Ajzen, 1985).
