Temporary partial disability -- Payment of wages lost based on variance between pre-injury and post-injury earning or earning capacity where it is anticipated that the employee will eventually return to regular work at pre-injury wages. According to the study, Kentucky is one of just four states where the law does not authorize temporary partial disability benefits (TPD), which are paid to workers with less severe injuries who may perform some tasks, but not assume their regular job. 440 is unemployed 60 days after the date of injury and is receiving benefits for temporary total disability, temporary partial disability, or wage loss, and has not yet been provided medical care coordination and reemployment services voluntarily by the carrier, the carrier must determine whether the employee is likely to return to work and must report its determination to the division. |
