Transient voltage surge suppressors (TVSSs), also known as surge protection devices (SPDs), can be installed to filter out "transients," which are short-term deviations from normal voltage levels.
In addition to Powerware, Eaton acquired Innovative Technology as a part of its 2002 acquisition of the electrical division of Delta plc, enabling it to lead in the hard-wired transient voltage surge suppressors (TVSS) market.
