Millions of PCs have been shipped by the computer industry embedded with a TCG-standard chip, called the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). TCG's membership has grown from an initial nine in 2003 to approximately 160 today, with work groups addressing PCs and servers, the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), Trusted Network Connect network access control, trusted storage, mobile phones, infrastructure and printers and similar devices. The Transmeta Crusoe microprocessor, used in conjunction with an industry standard Trusted Platform Module (TPM) solution, enables the high level of onboard security necessary for use in certain markets such as automated banking and the multimedia gaming industry. |
